Here is what changed, why, and what it means if you're already a client: nothing.

The short version

In fall 2026 we retired our single flat page rate and replaced it
with four self-selected service plans. If you are already a client,
stop reading here if you like: your original rate stays on the pages
we quoted, your agreement is unchanged, and nothing in this post
moves your bill by a dollar. The rest of this page is the timeline and
the reasoning, published because a pricing change you have to
reverse-engineer from a diff of someone's website is the kind of thing
we started this company to be the opposite of.

Where we started

TechTailors launched with one published number: $25 a page each
month, everything included. I still like almost everything about that
model. It was calculable in under a minute, it was the same for
everyone, and it forced us to publish instead of quote. Our first
clients signed on it, and they keep it; their plan even has its own
name in our billing system, marked grandfathered, so nobody can
"migrate" it by accident.

The flat rate had two honest flaws. The first was that it priced every
client as if they wanted the same service. A five-page practice site
that needs solid hosting and occasional updates paid the same rate as
a regulated business that needs a configured and documented security
baseline, signed vendor agreements, breach-readiness runbooks, faster
support clocks, and an annual review that ends in an attestation
letter a compliance officer can file. One number can't price both
honestly.

The second flaw was simpler: the rate was too low for everyone. More
on that below, because it's the part that surprises people.

What changed in fall 2026

The new model prices the service level, and you pick it yourself. Four
plans: Smart Casual at $50 per billable page per month (from $250
a month), Professional at $75 (from $375), Black Tie at $100
(from $500), and White Tie at custom pricing, typically from $125
per page. Page-types still bill as one page for up to 25 pages, now
from a published list of nine kinds, with each page-type's overview
page billing as one more page, and your page count never decides your
plan.

Professional and above carry the security baseline as a defined,
documented deliverable, with a one-time setup fee by project band
($750, $1,000, or $1,500, half-waived with annual prepay) because
configuring it is real work that happens once. The code buy-out became
a published ladder: 2× your annual plan cost at signing on Smart
Casual and 2.5× on Professional and Black Tie, dropping by 0.25× at
every anniversary you stay, down to floors of 1.25× and 1.5×, so
staying loyal makes leaving cheaper instead of harder. White Tie
buy-outs are set in the custom agreement. Bank Pages
retired as a product; pages you take offline simply sit in reserve
under the reactivation policy. And the
annual review now states, in writing, whether you should be paying us
less, including recommending a downgrade when that is the truth.

Every number above is live on the pricing page, computable
in the calculator, and compared against named
competitors with dated sources in the
what-a-website-costs series.

Why Smart Casual costs more than the old flat rate

If one flat rate made simple sites carry the cost of demanding ones,
you might expect the simplest plan to get cheaper. It didn't, and you
deserve the reason.

We bill by billable page, not by every page on your site. A page-type
is a set of like pages, such as services, conditions, locations,
projects, or blog posts. It counts as one page for up to 25 of them,
and its overview page counts as one more. That rule is deliberately
generous, and it means most sites bill as far fewer pages than they
actually have. A 35-page clinic site bills as 12 pages: seven unique
pages, a services page-type and a conditions page-type with one
overview page each, and a legal page-type that holds its three policy
pages. At $25, that came to about $9 a month for each page on the
site.

Meanwhile, the work behind a site doesn't shrink with its billable
count. Hosting and security, unlimited edits, the performance
guarantee, support, and the annual review take about the same effort
whether a site bills as 6 pages or 12. At $25, the five-page minimum
was $125 a month, and that didn't cover the work every plan includes.

So the plans and the rate do two different jobs. The plans stop simple
sites from paying for compliance work they don't need: Smart Casual
carries none of the security-baseline work, which is why it's the
lowest rate. The rate under every plan went up because the original
number was too low for all of them. Even at $50, that 35-page clinic
site pays about $17 a month for each page on it.

We're still calibrating

Per-page monthly pricing is unusual. None of the agencies we compare
ourselves against publish it, so we set these rates from our own
numbers rather than an industry template, and we expect the next
several quotes to teach us something. If a rate proves wrong in either
direction, we'll change it, date it, and explain it on this page. What
doesn't change is a signed client's rate: the experiment never lands
on your invoice.

If you're already a client

Your rate is the one in your agreement, on the pages we quoted, full
stop. We did not raise it, we will not raise it by notice, and our
billing system carries your plan under a separate grandfathered
identifier so the new catalog cannot touch it. If we ever believe a
current plan would serve you better, you will get that as a written
proposal at your annual review, with the math shown, and it takes
effect only if you sign it. That is the same standard we ask you to
hold us to everywhere else: changes arrive as documents, not as
surprises on an invoice.

Why publish the history at all

Because published pricing only means something if the changes are
published too. Most of our industry quotes by sales call, where the
price depends on the call and the history depends on nobody
remembering. We would rather show what we charged first, what we
charge now, why it moved, and who it cannot move for. If that
transparency is the reason you pick us, it worked exactly as
intended.

Both publish their prices, which we respect. Here is the therapy-website market with sources, and what ours costs beside it.

The answer first

Therapy is the second vertical in this series where the incumbents
publish their prices, and both deserve credit for it. From their own
pages today, TherapySites runs $69 to $336 a month plus a $199
one-time design fee, and Brighter Vision starts at $99 a month with
a $100 setup fee. A comparable site from TechTailors at the
Professional plan, about 6 billable pages for a typical practice, is
$450 a month: $8,150 in year one on monthly billing, or $5,875 with
annual prepay, from a published rate card. That is more than the
platforms charge, and for some practices they are the better call. The difference you are paying for is the same as in every
post in this series. At month 13 you hold every account and a published
path to the code, or you hold a subscription.

What the incumbents charge

Provider

Monthly

Setup

$100 (waived in the current monthly promo)

Flourish tier bundles Hushmail HIPAA forms and email; otherwise HIPAA email from $14.99/mo; annual cancellation has a $100 fee

Primary: their pricing page for the $99 start and setup fee, captured 2026-08-28; tier figures per Choosing Therapy's review

Psychology Today profile

$29.95/mo directory listing

None

Not a website; listed because for some practices it is the honest alternative to one

Their published member rate, stated for context

Custom designers

Four-figure projects plus hosting

Project

The bespoke lane for group practices building a brand

No single source; varies by designer

Across this series, the two therapy platforms publish their prices
while the legal and medical incumbents mostly do not.
Small practices get clearer treatment here than law firms do. Read the
notes column anyway; a $69 site with secure forms, reputation, and
Google Ads attached lands well north of the sticker.

Reviewers are blunter about the product than we would be.
Reframe Practice's guide
writes that TherapySites templates look years out of date and that
sites end up nearly identical to other practices in your area.
TME Brand Marketing's review
of both platforms describes highly templated results and slow support.
At $69 that may be a trade worth making; just know you are making it.

What TechTailors charges for the same job

A typical practice site runs about 10 pages: home, about and approach,
five specialty pages sharing one layout plus their overview page, rates
and FAQ, contact. Under page-type pricing that is 6 billable
pages at the Professional plan's $75/page/month: the specialties
bill as one page and the overview as one more. That puts the practice
one page above the plan's five-page floor of $375 a month.

Line item

Monthly billing

Annual prepay (10-for-12)

Build fee (published rate card: 5 pages × $250 + 1 page-type × $750, Blueprint credited in full)

$2,000

$1,000 (half waived)

Security-baseline setup (small band, one-time)

$750

$375 (half waived)

Monthly plan ($450 a month)

$5,400

$4,500

Year-one total

$8,150

$5,875

Plus the Cloudflare Business plan the baseline runs on: about $250 a
month, roughly $200 on annual billing, billed by Cloudflare to your own
account and listed here on purpose.

Why Professional for a therapy practice? Because the sensitive part of
your work should never reach your marketing site in the first place,
and the plan is that boundary as configuration. Contact forms collect
name, contact, and appointment request only, with no symptom checkboxes
and no "tell us what brings you in" free-text feeding a generic form
store. Anything clinical goes to your EHR portal or a BAA-covered form
tool under your own account. Booking and intake pages carry no
third-party pixels, and you get a per-page script inventory to show an
auditor. Breach readiness puts the 60-day notification clock in the
runbook, and an annual review ends in a one-page attestation letter. Instead of a "HIPAA-compliant website" badge, we sell the documented
boundary that makes the compliance question moot for the marketing
surface. Compute your own numbers in the
calculator.

What the premium buys

At $450 a month we cost more than the platforms in this table, and we
would rather own that than obscure it: TechTailors is a premium web
studio, the deliberate opposite of an agency. The extra money buys a
site hand-coded for your practice alone, with a design nobody else in
your city is running. That matters in a profession where the site's
whole job is to feel like you before the first phone call. Performance is guaranteed in writing: if a page
drops below 96 in any Lighthouse category and we don't restore it within
48 hours of your report, that page is free that month. The security work is graded A+ by three independent
scanners you can re-run yourself, and our one public
client is a healthcare practice with live scores.

It is fully managed, which for a solo practice means the site stops
being a chore. For the life of your monthly plan we handle design,
development, hosting, security, and maintenance, with unlimited content
edits (fee changes, new specialties, a new headshot, done). Security
patches land without a ticket, and technology upgrades are automatic at
no extra cost. Every month we run a Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals health
audit and email you the scores with a plain-language summary of what
we worked on. The SLAs are published. We
track our own misses and apply most credits without a claim. Every plan
carries a 99.9% uptime guarantee with automatic credits, and hosted
add-ons stack their own SLAs on top.

And
the catalog grows with the practice: blogging on a CMS, e-commerce,
digital advertising, CRO and A/B testing, analytics, site search,
multi-language, and custom integrations. All of it sits on one published
rate card, month-to-month after the first year, so going from solo to
group never means shopping for a second vendor.

It also buys a real shot in local search. Every build, on every plan, includes on-page
SEO, a managed Google Business Profile, name-address-phone (NAP)
citations, LocalBusiness schema, sitemaps, and GEO/AEO work for
AI-driven search. The founder who runs TechTailors came up through SEO. "Therapist near me" is a local fight, and a template shared
with the practice down the street can't set you apart. When you outgrow
referrals, SEO add-ons scale up; the foundation is in
the $450.

And it buys a person. The one who built your site answers your
messages on a published clock: 24 hours on Professional, nights and
weekends included. Clients text us directly. Custom
integrations run $250 one-time each: we
wire in your scheduler or directory profiles once, instead of you renting
connector tools monthly. Annual prepay is two months free and halves
the build and setup fees, and the referral program earns
you up to $10,000 in invoice credit.

The Blueprint is a fixed quote, and its deliverable is yours to keep
even if you never sign. The build bills by milestone and is never
prepaid. The 30-day guarantee is an exit, not a refund, from the
remaining 11 months if the fit is wrong within 30 days of signing. The exit fee is zero, and offboarding is documented
before you sign. The code buy-out is open from day one. You can have us
build the site and buy out the code at Go Live for the at-signing cap,
$13,500 on a site billed at $450 a month. If you stay managed instead,
it falls to $8,100 after four anniversaries.

The annual review states, in writing, when you should
be paying us less, including when the honest answer is a downgrade.
And an eligible small practice may qualify for the federal ADA Section
44 credit of up to $5,000 a year for the accessibility work in every
build (IRS Form 8826). The calculator estimates
it, and your accountant confirms it.

Month 13: what you hold

Month 13 is the first renewal, the moment the difference shows. Every
account is yours from day one, and the buy-out is available from
Go Live onward.

At month 13

TechTailors

Typical therapy-web platform

Domain and DNS

Your registrar, your Cloudflare zone

Registration often included and vendor-managed; transfer-out policies vary

Content

Yours, exportable

Pre-written libraries are licensed; your own writing varies

The site code

Buy-out any time; the price drops at every anniversary you stay

Platform-resident; no ownership path

Cost to leave

Zero exit fee, documented offboarding

Rebuild; monthly terms at least make leaving quick

When each option is the right call

TherapySites at $69 is the honest budget answer, and we mean that
without a wink: a solo practice whose leads come from Psychology Today
and referrals is probably right to pay $69 there, keep the profile at
$29.95, and spend the difference on the practice. Brighter Vision
fits therapists who want a more designed site with the Hushmail HIPAA
pieces bundled at the Flourish tier, and its published pricing and
month-to-month terms are fair dealing. Custom designers make sense
for group practices where brand is the growth strategy.

TechTailors is the right call when the practice is becoming a
business: multiple clinicians, an insurance and out-of-network mix, and
a site that has to rank and convert. That calls for a design that reads
as you, a client-data boundary you can show in writing, and
infrastructure you own at month 13 instead of rent at month 130.

Verify us

Our one public client site is a healthcare practice:
goldmanchiropracticcenter.com
is live, built to the same form-minimization and no-pixels rules
described above. Its PageSpeed
results

Tebra's is a quote form. Here is what the healthcare-website market actually charges, with sources, and what ours costs beside it.

The answer first

The healthcare-website market's defining feature is that it does not
publish prices. ProSites' pricing page lists four named plans and zero
dollar amounts; Tebra's is a two-minute quote form. From third-party
comparisons, the dental platforms run roughly $299 to $699 a month
plus $500 to $2,000 in setup on 12-to-24-month contracts.
Practice-OS bundles like Tebra quote $49 to $799 per provider per
month across modules. A comparable site from TechTailors at the
Professional plan, about 9 billable pages for a typical practice, is
$675 a month: $11,600 in year one on monthly billing, or $8,500 with
annual prepay. Those numbers come from a published rate card. In this vertical
the bigger difference is where patient data is allowed to go.

What the incumbents charge

Provider

Monthly

Setup

Contract

Source and date

ProSites (Henry Schein One)

$299 to $599/mo (third-party figures)

$500 to $1,500 (third-party figures)

12 to 24 months reported; CRM extra at $99 to $199/mo

Their pricing page lists four plans and no prices (captured 2026-08-28); figures per FlashCrafter's dental cost comparison, captured 2026-08-28

Officite (Internet Brands)

$349 to $699/mo (third-party figures)

$1,000 to $2,000 (third-party figures)

12 months minimum reported

No published price; same third-party comparison, 2026-08-28

Tebra (Kareo + PatientPop)

Quote-only; modules reported at $49 to $799 per provider/mo

Onboarding varies by quote

Per-provider licensing; web presence lives in the "Patient Experience + Marketing" module

Their pricing page is a quote form with a feature matrix and no prices (captured 2026-08-28); module figures per Pabau's Tebra pricing analysis

Healthcare marketing agencies

$500 to $2,000/mo (third-party figures)

$5,000 to $15,000 one-time (third-party figures)

6 to 12 months typical

The custom lane for cosmetic, implant, and DSO work; ranges per the same dental cost comparison

One caution about the sourcing: the most detailed public numbers for
ProSites and Officite come from a competitor's comparison page, because
the platforms themselves publish nothing. We label that plainly and
link it so you can judge it yourself. When a vendor's own pricing page
cannot tell you a price, third-party figures and a sales call are all
anyone has, and that is part of what you are buying into.

Weigh what "turnkey" means, too. ProSites' own pricing page advertises
150+ ready-made pages of dental content and a footer trusted-by count
of 7,500+ practices. Publishing the same 150 pages as thousands of
other practices is camouflage, and Google is good at ignoring
camouflage.

What TechTailors charges for the same job

A typical practice site runs about 13 actual pages: home, about, a
providers page, new-patient info, insurance and payment, patient forms,
contact, and five service pages sharing one layout plus their overview
page. Under page-type pricing that is 9 billable pages at
the Professional plan's $75/page/month: the service pages bill as one
page, and the overview as one more.

Line item

Monthly billing

Annual prepay (10-for-12)

Build fee (published rate card: 8 pages × $250 + 1 page-type × $750, Blueprint credited in full)

$2,750

$1,375 (half waived)

Security-baseline setup (small band, one-time)

$750

$375 (half waived)

Monthly plan ($675 a month)

$8,100

$6,750

Year-one total

$11,600

$8,500

Plus the Cloudflare Business plan the baseline runs on: about $250 a
month, roughly $200 on annual billing, billed by Cloudflare to your own
account. Listed here because it is your cost and your account, which is
the point.

Now the part the platforms put in a badge. We will not sell you a
"HIPAA-compliant website." For a marketing site that phrase is mostly a
category error: compliance attaches to how PHI is handled, and
the correct design is that PHI never touches the marketing site at
all.

The Professional baseline is that boundary as configuration. Intake
forms collect name, contact, and appointment request only, with no
symptom checkboxes and no condition dropdowns. Anything health-adjacent
goes to your EHR portal or a BAA-covered form tool under your own
account. Booking and intake pages carry no third-party pixels, wherever
the tracking-bulletin litigation lands. A per-page script inventory is
the audit artifact. Breach readiness puts the Breach Notification Rule's
60-day clock at the top of the runbook and your privacy officer in the
contact tree. An annual review ends in a one-page attestation letter. The configuration is aligned to
the HIPAA Security Rule and documented, and the boundary is written
down where your compliance officer can cite it. Compute your own
numbers in the calculator.

What the premium buys

TechTailors is a premium web studio, the deliberate opposite of an
agency. At $675 a month we cost more than the third-party ProSites
figures and sit near the top of Officite's range. Your site is hand-coded for one practice,
with no theme and none of the 150-page stock library: every service
page is designed for you and carries your own words. Performance carries a written
guarantee: if a page drops below 96 in any Lighthouse category and we
don't restore it within 48 hours of your report, that page is free that
month. Our one public client is a
healthcare practice whose scores you can pull live. The security work
is graded A+ by three independent scanners you can
re-run yourself.

It is fully managed, so the front desk never has to think about it.
For the life of your monthly plan we handle design, development,
hosting, security, and maintenance, with unlimited content edits (new
provider bios and hours changes included). Security patches land
without a ticket, and technology upgrades are automatic at no extra
cost. Every month we run
a Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals health audit and email you the scores
with a plain-language summary of what we worked on. The
SLAs are published. We track our own misses
and apply most credits to your next invoice without a claim. Every plan
carries a 99.9% uptime guarantee with automatic credits, and hosted
add-ons stack their own SLAs on top.

The
catalog covers blogging on a CMS, e-commerce, digital advertising, CRO
and A/B testing, analytics and ROI reporting, multi-language, site
search, and custom integrations. All of it sits on the same published
rate card and goes month-to-month after the first year, so adding a
service never means adding a vendor.

Local search is the growth lever in this vertical, and it is where the
platforms give the least. Every TechTailors build, on every plan,
includes on-page SEO, a managed Google Business Profile, name-address-phone
(NAP) citations, LocalBusiness schema, sitemaps, and GEO/AEO work for
AI-driven search. The founder who runs the company came up through SEO. "Dentist near me" is won by a fast, original site with
a managed profile. SEO add-ons exist for practices that want to
press harder; the foundation ships with every build.

The service model is the opposite of a platform queue. The person who
built your site answers when the front desk needs something changed,
on a published clock: 24 hours on Professional, nights and weekends
included. Clients text us directly. Custom
integrations run $250 one-time per
service: we wire your scheduler, reviews tool, or EHR portal link-outs
together once, instead of you renting middleware monthly.

Discounts stack:
annual prepay is two months free and halves the build and setup fees,
bulk pricing takes up to $1,000 off per month as spend grows, and the
referral program earns you up to $10,000 in invoice credit.

Compare the exit terms with the 12-to-24-month lock-ins above. Our
Blueprint is a fixed quote whose deliverable is yours to keep whether
or not you proceed. The build bills by milestone and is never prepaid.
The 30-day guarantee is an exit, not a refund, from the
remaining 11 months if the fit is wrong within 30 days of signing. The exit
fee is zero, and offboarding is documented before you sign. The code
buy-out is open from day one. At Go Live its price is the at-signing
cap, $20,200 on a site billed at $675 a month. If we stay on as
managers instead, it falls to $12,100 after four anniversaries.

The annual review
states, in writing, when you should be paying us less. And the
accessibility work in every build can pay you back. An eligible small
business may qualify for the federal ADA Section 44 credit of up to
$5,000 a year (IRS Form 8826), which the
calculator estimates. Confirm it with your
accountant, because an estimate is not tax advice.

Month 13: what you hold

The accounts are yours from day one, and practices that want to buy out
the code can do it at Go Live. Month 13 is where the comparison bites.

At month 13

TechTailors

Typical healthcare-web platform

Your registrar, your Cloudflare zone

Buy-out any time; the price drops at every anniversary you stay

Zero exit fee, documented offboarding

Rebuild, mid-contract if the term says so

When each option is the right call

ProSites and Officite fit practices that want a dental-specific
template with a large stock-content library and are comfortable signing
a 12-to-24-month term after a sales call; if that is you, make the call
and get the number in writing. Tebra is a practice operating
system. If you are buying the EHR and billing stack anyway, the
bundled web presence has real integration logic; evaluate it as
software. Bundled newcomers competing on
price and no-contract terms are worth a look for budget-first
practices; whoever you pick, verify the BAA chain yourself rather than
trusting a compliance badge. Agencies make sense for cosmetic,
implant, and multi-location groups where the marketing budget is five
figures.

TechTailors is the right call when you want a marketing site you
control, with the PHI boundary engineered in and documented. That means
accounts in your name, published pricing you did not have to sit through
a demo to learn, a design no other practice shares, a script inventory
your auditor can read, and a code buy-out whose price falls every year
you stay.

Verify us

Our one public client site is a healthcare practice:
goldmanchiropracticcenter.com
is live, built to exactly the form-minimization and no-pixels rules
described above. Its PageSpeed
results
are one click away, the same monthly test behind our Lighthouse
guarantee. The full rescue story, with the before-and-after walkthrough, shows how that site got this way. Our own security posture is graded
by three independent scanners at /security. Test us the
way you would a lab, without a sales call: run your current site
through the website health checker, price
your practice in the calculator, or order the
free Agency Audit. The

firms, CPAs, advisors, and therapists.

Here is the advisor-website market with sources, and what ours costs beside it.

The answer first

The advisor-website market grew up: two major vertical vendors
now publish their prices. From their own pages, Snappy Kraken
websites run $99 to $199 a month (setup $499 to $2,499) and FMG
Suite runs $178 to $1,044 a month (setup $994 to $3,494). The
broker-dealer enterprise lane is still quote-only. A comparable site from
TechTailors at the Professional plan, about 7 billable pages for a
typical advisory practice, is $525 a month: $9,800 in year one on
monthly billing, or $7,000 with annual prepay, from a published rate
card. The lasting difference is ownership: at month 13 you hold every
account and a published path to the code; a platform leaves you a
subscription.

What the incumbents charge

The broker-dealer-approved incumbent tier publishes no price

No published price; stated as such

Custom design agencies

Bespoke advisor builds run four to five figures up front (third-party figure)

Project

The non-platform alternative

Third-party: AltaStreet's 2026 advisor-website price guide

Read the setup column twice. A $418/month Premium plan with a $3,194
setup is an $8,210 first year before a single marketing add-on, and the
site still lives on the platform.

The platform model has a second cost the price sheets skip: sameness.
The templates and the pre-approved content library are the product,
and they are sold to thousands of advisors at once, including the ones
you compete with. Compliance-safe and identical is a hard combination
to rank with, and it is an even harder one to be remembered by.

What TechTailors charges for the same job

A typical advisory site runs about 11 actual pages: home, five services
sharing one layout plus their overview page, team, an about page with
your philosophy, contact, disclosures. Under page-type pricing
that is 7 billable pages at the Professional plan's $75/page/month:
the services bill as one page, the overview as one more, and your
disclosures as one. They're your legal page-type, which bills as one
page however many legal pages you need. The privacy policy that comes
with your security baseline is free.

Plus the Cloudflare Business plan the baseline runs on, about $250 a
month (roughly $200 on annual billing), billed by Cloudflare to your
own account and listed here on purpose.

Why Professional? Because the SEC made the question concrete. The 2024
amendments to Regulation S-P require a written incident-response
program with customer notification within 30 days. Both compliance
dates, December 3, 2025 and June 3, 2026, have passed, so every covered
adviser is inside the obligation window now. Your website is part of
the covered surface. The Professional baseline gives its chapter real
artifacts: encryption everywhere, multi-factor sign-in on every admin
surface, access logs your examiner can ask about, a signed agreement
from every vendor touching data, and a breach runbook with the 30-day
timeline at the top. An annual review produces a one-page attestation
letter your CCO can file. Compute your own numbers in the
calculator.

What the premium buys

We sit above Snappy Kraken's website line on price. TechTailors is a
premium web studio, the deliberate opposite of an agency, and the
premium buys things a platform cannot sell. Your site is hand-coded
for one practice, with no theme or shared library, so no other advisor
runs your design. For an independent RIA whose brand is trust, that is
the point. Performance is guaranteed in writing: if a page drops below
96 in any Lighthouse category and we don't restore it within 48 hours of
your report, that page is free that month. The security work behind the Reg S-P
artifacts is graded A+ by three independent scanners you can
re-run yourself.

It is fully managed end to end: design, development, hosting,
security, and maintenance are ours to worry about, with unlimited
content edits for the life of your monthly plan and automatic
technology upgrades at no extra cost. Disclosure page updates and ADV
season edits are covered work, not change orders. Every month we run a
Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals health audit and email you the scores
with a plain-language summary of what we worked on, a paper trail your
compliance file will appreciate. The
SLAs are published, we track our own misses
and apply most credits without a claim, and every plan carries a
99.9% uptime guarantee with automatic credits (hosted add-ons stack
their own SLAs on top).

The catalog also runs far past the website: blogging on a CMS,
e-commerce, digital advertising, CRO and A/B testing, analytics and ROI
reporting, multi-language, site search, and custom integrations. All of
it sits on one published rate card, month-to-month after the first year,
so the practice never outgrows the vendor.

The search story is the quiet advantage. Every build includes on-page
SEO, a managed Google Business Profile, NAP citations, LocalBusiness
schema, sitemaps, and GEO/AEO work for AI-driven search. TechTailors is
founder-led by someone who came up through SEO. "Financial advisor near me" is a local fight, and a
fast, original site with a managed profile wins it against the
thousandth copy of a pre-approved template. SEO
add-ons exist for advisors who want to press harder;
the foundation is never extra.

The person who built your
site answers your messages on a published clock: 24 hours on Professional,
nights and weekends included. Clients text us directly instead of opening
tickets. Custom integrations, at $250
one-time apiece, can wire your scheduler, CRM, and archiving tools
together once, in place of middleware you rent monthly. Discounts stack.
Annual prepay is two months free and halves the build and setup fees,
and bulk pricing takes up to $1,000 off per month as spend grows. The
referral program earns you up to $10,000 in invoice credit.

You would tell a client to read the exit terms first, so here are
ours. The Blueprint is a fixed quote whose deliverable is yours to
keep either way, and the build bills by milestone, never prepaid. The
30-day guarantee is an exit, not a refund, from the remaining 11
months if the fit is wrong within 30 days of signing. Exit fee: zero. Offboarding:
documented before you sign. The code buy-out is open from day one.
Build-and-buy-out at Go Live is a standard engagement, priced at
the at-signing cap ($15,700 on a site billed at $525 a month). For
practices that stay managed, the cap falls to $9,400 after four
anniversaries, so staying makes leaving cheaper. The
annual review states, in writing, when you should be paying us less,
which is the fiduciary standard applied to ourselves.

If your firm qualifies as an eligible small business, the accessibility
work in every build may qualify for the federal ADA Section 44 credit of
up to $5,000 a year (IRS Form 8826). The calculator
estimates it, and the estimate is not tax advice.

Month 13: what you hold

When each option is the right call

Snappy Kraken at $99 is the honest budget answer for a solo
advisor who wants a compliant template presence and marketing
automation from one login. FMG Suite fits practices that want the
full marketing machine with compliance review workflow built in; that
workflow is the product, and it is real. The broker-dealer lane
is not a choice when your BD mandates an approved-vendor list: use the
approved vendor, and we will say exactly that on a call, because
FINRA-style review integration is what those platforms sell and we do
not. Custom agencies make sense when brand is the strategy and the
budget is five figures. TechTailors is the right call for
independent RIAs who control their vendor choices. Choose it if you want
Reg S-P artifacts instead of assurances, a design no other advisor is
running, SEO built in, performance that holds a public guarantee, and
accounts in your name from day one.

Here is the whole market with sources, and what ours costs beside it.

The answer first

Accounting is the rare vertical where the website vendors publish their
prices. In 2026 the template platforms run $85.50 to $166.50 a
month (Build Your Firm, CPA Site Solutions), and the platform-plus-AI
tier runs $150 to $500 (CountingWorks PRO). A basic website
costs $6,500 to $15,000 on average (WebFX's 2026 web design pricing
guide). A comparable site from TechTailors at
the Professional plan, about 7 billable pages for a typical firm, is
$525 a month: $9,300 in year one on monthly billing, or $6,750 with
annual prepay, from a published rate card. The difference that lasts:
at month 13 you own every account and can buy out the code. On the
platforms, you own a subscription.

Its 2026 guide puts an average basic website at $6,500–$15,000, and most businesses' yearly web design spend at $501–$5,000

Primary: WebFX's 2026 web design pricing guide, re-checked 2026-09-30; also in our benchmark library

Credit where due: this vertical mostly does publish its numbers, which
is more than the legal-website market manages. Read the fine print
anyway. When HTTPS hardening is a $9.99 add-on and unlimited portal
storage is $250 a month below the top tier, the sticker is only the
start of the math.

There is also a sameness problem the price sheets never mention. These
platforms sell the same templates and the same pre-written content
library to thousands of firms; Build Your Firm and CPA Site Solutions
both advertise the library as a feature. Google has no reason to rank
the four-hundredth copy of the same tax-tips page, so the cheap
sticker often buys an invisible site, and invisibility is the most
expensive feature in this table.

What TechTailors charges for the same job

A typical firm site runs about 11 actual pages: home, five services
sharing one layout plus their overview page, team, about, contact, a
resources page. Under page-type pricing that is 7 billable
pages at the Professional plan's $75/page/month: the services bill as
one page, and the overview as one more.

Line item

Monthly billing

Annual prepay (10-for-12)

Build fee (published rate card: 6 pages × $250 + 1 page-type × $750, Blueprint credited in full)

$2,250

$1,125 (half waived)

Security-baseline setup (small band, one-time)

$750

$375 (half waived)

Monthly plan ($525 a month)

$6,300

$5,250

Year-one total

$9,300

$6,750

Plus the Cloudflare Business plan the baseline runs on: about $250 a
month, roughly $200 on annual billing, billed by Cloudflare to your own
account. We list it because hiding a cost you pay is how "as low as"
pricing works.

Why Professional and not the cheaper plan? The FTC's Safeguards Rule
(16 CFR Part 314) treats tax preparers as financial institutions, and
IRS Publications 4557 and 5708 expect a Written Information Security
Plan behind that. Your website is part of the covered surface. The
Professional plan's security baseline is the website chapter of that
WISP as configuration: encryption everywhere, multi-factor sign-in on
every admin surface, intake forms that collect name, contact, and topic
and never a tax document, a signed agreement from every vendor touching
data, and breach-notification readiness with the FTC's timeline in the
runbook. An annual review produces a one-page attestation letter your
WISP file and your insurer can both cite. Elsewhere, HTTPS hardening is
a $9.99 add-on; here it's part of the plan. Compute your own numbers in the
calculator.

What the premium buys

TechTailors is a premium web studio, the deliberate opposite of an
agency, priced above the template vendors on purpose. The extra money
buys a site hand-coded for your firm, with no theme, page builder, or
plugin CMS to patch. It is designed once, for you, rather than adapted
from a library your competitors also rent. Performance carries a written
guarantee: if a page drops below 96 in any Lighthouse category and we
don't restore it within 48 hours of your report, that page is free that
month. The security work is graded A+
by three independent scanners, and you can re-run every
scan yourself.

The monthly plan is fully managed, priced so you never think about the
site between tax seasons. Unlimited content edits and maintenance run
for the life of your monthly plan. Security patches land without you
asking, and technology upgrades are automatic at no extra cost, so your
site never ages out into a rebuild quote. Every month we run a Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals health
audit and email you the scores with a plain-language summary of what
we worked on, so the invoice always has a story attached. The
SLAs are published with credits we track
ourselves, and every plan carries a 99.9% uptime guarantee that credits
automatically (hosted add-ons stack their own SLAs on top).

The catalog is deeper than a website shop's, too: blogging on a CMS,
e-commerce, digital advertising, CRO and A/B testing, analytics and ROI
reporting, multi-language, site search, and custom integrations all live
on the same published rate card, month-to-month after the first year. A
firm that starts with seven billable pages never needs a second vendor
to grow.

Search is where the gap pays for itself. Every build includes on-page
SEO, a managed Google Business Profile, NAP citations, LocalBusiness
schema, sitemaps, and GEO/AEO work for AI-driven search. TechTailors is
founder-led by someone who came up through SEO. The local map pack for
"CPA near me" is the kind of fight a fast, original site wins against
the four-hundredth template. When a firm wants to press harder, SEO
add-ons bolt on; the foundation never costs extra.

The service is personal because the company is: the person who built
your site answers when you need something, on a published response
clock: 24 hours on Professional, nights and weekends included. Clients
text us directly. Custom integrations run $250
one-time per service, which can retire a recurring middleware
subscription in one invoice. Intake-to-portal automation is a natural
first project. Discounts stack, too. Annual prepay is two
months free and halves the build and setup fees, and a bulk discount
takes up to $1,000 off per month as spend grows. The referral
program earns you up to $10,000 in invoice credit.

We also price the exits. The Blueprint is a fixed quote, and its deliverable is yours
to keep even if you never sign. The build bills by milestone, so you
never prepay work. And the 30-day guarantee is an
exit, not a refund, from the remaining 11 months if the fit is wrong within 30 days of signing.
The exit fee is zero, and offboarding is documented before you sign.
The code buy-out is open from day one. Have us build the site and buy
out the code at Go Live for the at-signing cap ($15,700 on a site
billed at $525 a month), or stay managed and watch it fall to $9,400
after four anniversaries. Both paths are standard. The
annual review states, in writing, when you should be paying us less;
ask a template vendor for that sentence.

Because every build holds WCAG accessibility standards, an eligible
small business may qualify for the federal ADA Section 44 credit of up
to $5,000 a year (IRS Form 8826). The calculator
estimates it, and you, of all people, know an estimate is not tax advice.

Month 13: what you hold

Month 13 is only the comparison point. Every account is yours from day
one, and the buy-out can be exercised at Go Live as easily as at year
four.

When each option is the right call

Build Your Firm at $85.50 is the honest budget answer for a solo
practitioner or EA whose clients come from referrals and who wants a
credible, maintained presence with no ownership ambitions. CPA Site
Solutions fits firms that want the content library, portal, and
newsletter machine in one monthly plan and accept the add-on math.
CountingWorks PRO is a practice-growth platform more than a
website; evaluate it as software for your client journey, with the site
as one feature. WebFX and general agencies make sense at
multi-partner scale where the marketing budget is five figures a
month. TechTailors is the right call when the Safeguards Rule is
real for you, or when your insurer asks questions a template vendor
cannot answer in writing. It also fits if you want an asset that
competes: a design no other firm runs, SEO included with the
build, owned accounts, a documented baseline with an annual
attestation, and a code buy-out whose price falls every year you stay.

Here is the whole market for a small firm's website, with sources, and what ours costs beside it.

The answer first

A small law firm's website in 2026 costs anywhere from $82.50 a month
on Justia Elevate (the published floor, paid annually) to $2,000 to
$10,000 a month at legal marketing agencies. Most of the platform
vendors in between decline to publish a price at all. A comparable
site from TechTailors at the Professional plan, about 9 billable pages
for a typical firm, is $675 a month: $11,600 in year one on monthly
billing, or $8,500 with annual prepay, every number from a published
rate card. The difference that outlasts year one is ownership. At month
13 a TechTailors client holds every account, all their data, and a
published price to buy out the code; most incumbent clients hold
none of that.

What the incumbents charge

Provider

Monthly

Contract

Who owns the site

Source and date

Justia Elevate

From $82.50/mo (paid annually)

Annual

Subscription on Justia's WordPress platform

LawLytics

About $150/mo on annual billing (third-party figure)

Monthly or annual

Subscription platform

LawLytics publishes no price (its pricing page is a demo video, captured 2026-08-28); figure per Lawyerist's review

FindLaw

$250 to $5,000/mo reported; about $500/mo for basic five-page sites in client accounts (third-party figures)

Three-year lock-ins reported

Departing clients report losing the site, call-tracking numbers, chat, and some content

No published price; OnTheMap's contract review, Ziegler, Majux, 2026-08-28

Scorpion

$2,000 to $10,000/mo reported; sites $1,000 to $20,000 (third-party figures)

Rigid terms reported; proprietary CMS

Limited control of a proprietary design

No published price; Lawyerist (2.9/5), JurisDigital, OnTheMap, 2026-08-28

Mockingbird

$2,000 to $5,000/mo; bespoke sites $15,000 to $30,000 (third-party figures)

3 to 6 months, then monthly

Agency-built

No published price; Lawyerist's review, 2026-08-28

Most of these vendors publish no price, and "call for a quote" means
the price depends on the call. The ownership column is where the cheap
options get expensive: a $500/month FindLaw site that cannot leave with you is a
rebuild waiting to be paid for twice.

The published floor has its own fine print. On Justia's free and lower
directory tiers, your own profile can carry ads for competing
attorneys; removing them is part of what the paid placements sell, per
Lawyerist's Justia review
and Grow Law's guide.
And every platform on this list works both sides of the street: the
same vendor, templates, and SEO playbook are for sale to the firm
across town, which is a strange foundation for outranking it.

What TechTailors charges for the same job

A typical small-firm site runs about 13 actual pages: home, about, an
attorneys page, reviews, an FAQ, a free-consultation page, contact, and
five practice-area pages sharing one layout plus their overview page.
Under page-type pricing that is 9 billable pages at the
Professional plan's $75/page/month: the practice areas bill as one page,
and the overview as one more.

Line item

Monthly billing

Annual prepay (10-for-12)

Build fee (published rate card: 8 pages × $250 + 1 page-type × $750, Blueprint credited in full)

$2,750

$1,375 (half waived)

Security-baseline setup (small band, one-time)

$750

$375 (half waived)

Monthly plan ($675 a month)

$8,100

$6,750

Year-one total

$11,600

$8,500

Plus the Cloudflare Business plan the baseline runs on: about $250 a
month, roughly $200 on annual billing, billed by Cloudflare to your own
account. We list it because it is your cost, and because the account
being yours is the point.

Professional fits this profession: ABA Model Rule 1.6(c) and Formal
Opinions 477R and 483 put written duties on how client information is
handled. The plan's security baseline is those duties
as configuration: encryption everywhere, multi-factor sign-in on every
admin surface, intake forms that collect only what they must (no
"describe your case" box feeding a generic form store), and tracking
scripts kept off intake pages. An annual review ends in a one-page
attestation letter you can hand your malpractice carrier. Compute your own numbers in the
calculator.

What the premium buys

We are a premium web studio, the deliberate opposite of an agency, and
in most of this table we cost more than the platforms. Every site is
hand-coded, with no theme, page builder, or plugin-stack CMS. The design
is built for one firm, yours, rather than adapted from a library that a
thousand other firms are running. The performance is guaranteed in writing: if a
page drops below 96 in any Google Lighthouse category and we don't
restore it within 48 hours of your report, that page is free that month. The security posture is
graded A+ by three independent scanners you can
re-run yourself.

It is also fully managed, which is where the hassle math lives. We
handle design, development, hosting, security, and maintenance for the
life of your monthly plan, with unlimited content edits and automatic
technology upgrades at no extra cost. The site never quietly ages
into a rebuild the way a three-year FindLaw contract does. Every month
we run a Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals health audit, the same
methodology as our public
website health checker, and email you the
scores with a plain-language summary of what we worked on. The
SLAs are published. We track our own misses,
and most credits land on your next invoice without you filing
anything. Every plan carries a 99.9% uptime guarantee with automatic
credits (hosted add-ons stack their own SLAs on top).

When the firm grows, the roof grows with it: blogging on a CMS,
e-commerce, digital advertising, CRO and A/B testing, analytics and ROI
reporting, multi-language, site search, and custom integrations all run
on the same published rate card, month-to-month after the first year.
Scaling never means hiring a second vendor.

Every build ships with on-page SEO, a managed Google Business Profile,
NAP citations, LocalBusiness schema, sitemaps, and GEO/AEO work for
AI-driven search. None of it is sold back to you as a tier. TechTailors is founder-led
by someone who came up through SEO, and the technical scores above are
half the ranking story. A platform selling the same templates and the
same playbook to competing firms in the same city cannot take your
side.

Service is personal on purpose. The
person who builds your site is the person who answers when something
breaks, on a published response clock: 24 hours on Professional, nights
and weekends included. Clients text us directly. Custom
integrations run $250 one-time per
service, which can replace recurring middleware subscriptions
outright. And the discounts stack. Annual prepay is two months free
and halves the build and setup fees, and a bulk discount takes up to
$1,000 off per month as your spend grows. The referral
program earns you up to $10,000 in invoice credit.

The risk sits with us. The Blueprint is a fixed quote whose
deliverable is yours to keep whether or not you proceed. You never
prepay the build, because milestones bill as stages complete. And the
30-day guarantee is an exit, not a refund: wrong fit within
30 days of signing, and you walk from the remaining 11 months
with no further payment.

Leaving is priced too. The exit fee is zero, and offboarding is
documented before you sign. The buy-out is open from day one. Want us
to build the site and let you buy out the code at Go Live? The
at-signing cap is that price. At $675 a month the code caps at $20,200 at signing and falls
to $12,100 after four anniversaries if you stay managed instead. Even our annual review
is built to argue against us; it states, in writing, when you should
be paying us less.

One more number your accountant will like: if your firm qualifies as an
eligible small business, the accessibility work in every build may
qualify for the federal ADA Section 44 credit of up to $5,000 a year
(IRS Form 8826). The calculator estimates it,
and that estimate is not tax advice.

Month 13: what you hold

Month 13 is only the comparison point (the first renewal). The accounts
are yours from day one, and the buy-out is available whenever you want
it, Go Live included.

At month 13

TechTailors

Typical legal-web incumbent

Domain and DNS

Your registrar, your Cloudflare zone

Often vendor-managed; transfer varies

Hosting

Our Cloudflare account, until a buy-out moves the site to yours

The vendor's platform

Analytics history

Your accounts, exportable free

Vendor dashboards, commonly left behind

Content you wrote

Yours, exportable

Usually yours in principle; tooling varies

The site code

Buy-out any time; the price drops at every anniversary you stay

Proprietary platform; typically no ownership path

Cost to leave

Zero exit fee, documented offboarding

Rebuild from scratch; FindLaw departures report worse

When each option is the right call

Justia Elevate is the honest budget answer. A solo attorney who
wants a credible presence at the lowest published price, with no
ambition to own the infrastructure, is well served at $82.50 a month,
and we will say so on a call. LawLytics fits lawyers who want to
write their own content inside a lawyer-specific platform and accept
platform residency. Scorpion and Mockingbird are marketing
engagements more than websites; if you are buying a $5,000/month lead
machine, evaluate them as advertising vendors. FindLaw is the one
we struggle to recommend at any price, given the contract-length and
exit reporting above. Read the sourced reviews and their comment
threads before signing anything for three years. TechTailors is the
right call when the site should be an asset and a weapon: owned
accounts, a published security baseline with an annual attestation,
performance that holds a public guarantee, design built for your firm
alone, SEO that ships with the build, and a code
buy-out whose price falls every year you stay.

Verify us

Our one public client site is a chiropractic practice, not a law firm,
and we would rather show it than hide it:
goldmanchiropracticcenter.com
is live, and its PageSpeed
results
are one click away. That is the same test we run monthly under the Lighthouse
guarantee: if a page drops below 96 in any
category and we don't restore it within 48 hours of your report, it is
free that month. The full rescue story, with the
before-and-after walkthrough,
shows how that site got this way. Our own site's security posture is graded by
three independent scanners at /security. You can
pressure-test us in under five minutes, without a sales call. Run your
current site through the
website health checker, price your firm in

Agency Audit and we will grade what you have now. The

advisors, medical practices, and therapists.

Here's why every TechTailors site starts from scratch anyway.

The Template Trap

Templates promise speed. Pick a theme, swap the logo, launch by Friday. And sure, it works. Until the client asks for something the template didn't anticipate.

At TechTailors, every site is hand-coded from scratch. Not because we enjoy suffering, but because every business has unique needs that deserve unique solutions.

Performance You Can Measure

A hand-coded Astro site on Cloudflare's edge starts answering in milliseconds: Google's PageSpeed test clocks our own server at about 10 ms. Templates carry the weight of features you'll never use: carousels nobody clicks, libraries that add 200KB to parse a date.

We ship only what matters: semantic HTML, scoped CSS, progressive enhancement. Your visitors notice the difference even if they can't name it.

Run a Lighthouse audit on any TechTailors site. We hold a perfect 100 across all four categories: Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, and SEO.

Ownership From Day One

When we write every line, there's no black box. Buy out the code and it's yours to keep, with no reverse-engineering, no vendor lock-in and no dependence on a theme marketplace that might disappear. Leave without a buy-out and your accounts, content and data still go with you.

That's the hand-coded difference: faster sites, cleaner code, and genuine ownership.

Here's how TechTailors makes sure it can.

The Ownership Problem

Most agencies say you own your data. Few make it easy to prove. Try exporting your analytics history from a proprietary dashboard, or migrating your CMS content when the contract ends. Suddenly ownership feels theoretical.

At TechTailors, data ownership is structural: baked into the architecture, not bolted on as an afterthought.

How We Build for Portability

Every TechTailors site uses open standards and open-source tools:

EmDash for content management: your posts, pages, and media live in a database in your own Cloudflare account

Cloudinary for asset delivery: your images and videos are in your account, with your API keys

Cloudflare for your domain: your DNS, your security settings, your analytics (the site itself runs on our Cloudflare account until a buy-out)

Supabase for application data: PostgreSQL under the hood, exportable with a single command

None of these lock you to TechTailors. If you leave, we hand over every credential and every export. Your accounts and data were always yours. The code works differently: it's licensed to you during your monthly plan, and the buy-out below gets you a perpetual license to keep it.

The Buy-Out Option

For clients who want to go fully independent, we offer a lump-sum buy-out. One payment gets you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to the code. We hand the complete source, with its infrastructure configuration and operational documentation, to your team or your next agency.

Every TechTailors contract includes an offboarding clause. We don't just promise portability. We contractually guarantee it.

Ownership isn't a feature. It's the foundation.

Here's how Cloudflare's edge network makes that possible.

What Is Edge-First?

Traditional web hosting works like this: your site lives on a server in Virginia (or Frankfurt, or Singapore). When someone in Tokyo requests a page, the request crosses the Pacific, hits your server, builds the response, and travels back. Even with a fast server, physics adds latency.

Edge-first flips the model. Your site is deployed to every Cloudflare data center, over 300 locations worldwide. When that visitor in Tokyo makes a request, the response comes from a server a few milliseconds away.

Static Doesn't Mean Simple

TechTailors sites are statically generated with Astro. Every page is pre-built at deploy time into plain HTML, CSS, and minimal JavaScript. No server-side rendering on each request. No database queries at runtime.

But static doesn't mean limited. Dynamic features (contact forms, search, e-commerce) run as Cloudflare Workers at the edge. Same speed, full capability.

Astro's island architecture ships zero JavaScript by default. Interactive pieces load on demand, and plain links and forms work before any JavaScript arrives.

The Performance Stack

Here's what keeps it fast:

Astro: Zero-JS by default. Only ships JavaScript when islands of interactivity need it.

Cloudflare Workers: every page served from a Cloudflare data center near your visitor, fresh on every deploy.

Cloudinary: Images transformed and cached at delivery, not at request time.

Typesense: on sites with search, a dedicated cluster for each client.

Cloudinary and Cloudflare work hand in hand: Cloudinary handles the image transforms, Cloudflare caches the result at 300+ global PoPs. The first visitor triggers the transform; every visitor after gets a cache HIT.

Speed isn't an optimization. It's the architecture.
